Danny Tyrrell, LADC II

Danny Tyrrell, LADC II is a Primary Clinician at Rockland Recovery specializing in substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ mental health, relapse prevention, and family systems. An alumnus of Rockland Recovery and a person in long-term recovery, Danny brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to his work with clients and families. He integrates evidence-based approaches — including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and 12-Step principles — to help individuals build meaningful, purpose-driven lives in recovery.

Danny has more than a decade of experience in coaching and behavior change and integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and 12-Step principles into his clinical practice. He is particularly passionate about helping individuals build meaningful, purpose-driven lives in recovery while addressing the underlying emotional challenges that often contribute to substance use.

In addition to working with clients, Danny facilitates family support programming and advocates for affirming, inclusive care for LGBTQ+ individuals seeking recovery. He is committed to creating safe, supportive environments where people can heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves and their communities.
